The Rev. Dr. Nathanael Saint-Pierre Accepts Call to The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Maitland, Florida

The Rev. Nathanael Saint-Pierre, D.Min., has accepted a call to serve as Rector of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Maitland, Florida, in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. He will begin his ministry with the congregation on Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Feast of All Saints.
Fr. Nat comes to Good Shepherd following ministry at St. James Episcopal Church, Fordham, in the Bronx, New York. His ordained ministry has included parish leadership, community development, preaching, pastoral care, congregational development, and a longstanding commitment to ministries of justice, reconciliation, and inclusion.
A native of Haiti, Fr. Nat brings a rich multicultural perspective to his ministry, shaped by life and ministry in Haiti, Canada, the United States, and mission in Tanzania. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Homiletics from Bexley Seabury Seminary.

I look forward to walking with this congregation as together we deepen our life in Christ, strengthen our bonds with one another, and discern how God is calling us to serve the wider Maitland community.”
Fr. Nat sees this new ministry as an opportunity to build upon Good Shepherd’s history and gifts while looking faithfully toward its future.
“I believe healthy congregations grow from the inside out. Our first calling is not simply to fill pews, but to form disciples—to become a community so alive with the love, grace, and welcome of Jesus Christ that others discover there is a place for them among us. I am excited to discover with the people of Good Shepherd what God has in store for us.”
Fr. Nat will conclude his ministry at St. James Fordham on September 30 and relocate to Central Florida in October to prepare for his new ministry.
The Reverend Dr. Nathanael Saint-Pierre and his wife, the Rev. Cn. Robin Newman, look forward to making their home in Central Florida and becoming part of the Good Shepherd and greater Maitland and Eatonville communities.
